Family Game Night

Tonight was family game night...let's just say that a girl in our family picked the game. Luckily the boys were willing to play, jewelery and all. This is "Pretty, Pretty, Princess" which Adventure Girl received from Grammy for Christmas. The object is to acquire all of the accessories and the crown to win the game.

Someone was sporting the pink ring. This someone loves his girls VERY much. You can tell by the willingness to wear beautiful princess jewelery and let us take pictures. (We won't tell you who this someone is, but....)

Adventure Girl was the first to wear the crown. She was team purple. You will notice the lovely earring hanging from her lobe!
Little G was actually quite skillful at putting all of his jewels on. He has one earring on and is preparing the second. (In the game you have to earn them separately.)

And, Baby M, well she's not big enough for games unless you include dodge the fist. She has discovered her hands and sucking on them. Tonight brought sweet success for our little girl! Her thumb made it into her mouth and soothed her to sleep. This is a first for a child in our family..binkies have ruled the roost. We'll keep you posted.
A deep, reflective, personal post is brewing. So many things running through my head these days. Our pictures and updates are fun, but I suppose there is more deep thought to this motherhood thing. More later.

They are so sweet! The girly game was small compensation for all the times that Adventure Girl has been the only girl in a sea of boys. You can see how special it was for her to have everyone play "her" game for a change. What great sports the boys were! Love....

I was thinking the same thing as Davi. I don't think anything is much better than seeing a baby with a thumb in the mouth.

We have Pretty Pretty Princess too and it is a HIT in this house. It's one of mommy's favorite games because Ella is old enough to direct the game on her own!
